App Fabric SDK configuration corrupts Apprenda default solution template configurations

Hi,

I just created a new application using the solution template and when I try to run it it shows the foloowng error:

Configuration binding extension 'system.serviceModel/bindings/netTcpRelayBinding' could not be found. Verify that this binding extension is properly registered in system.serviceModel/extensions/bindingExtensions and that it is spelled correctly.

Is there anything I'm missing?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Could you provide some more information - for example, which version of Visual Studio are you running? Which version of the Apprenda SDK?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

I have the following setup:

  • Visual Studio 2010 sp1

  • Apprenda SDK 3.1

I also have installed some other tools like AWS SDK and Azure Tools (have found some references to netTcpRelayBinding realted to Azure Service bus but don't get how it is related).

Thanks for your help Matt, very appreciated.

Manuel,

According to this article: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/da-DK/windowsazuretroubleshooting/thread/ea78ac45-5a93-4739-b724-a8a69238f167

The error you're seeing is coming from the App Fabric (Azure) service bus dependencies from WCF.  The Apprenda templates alone should work without a problem.  I suspect having the service bus SDK installed is injecting configuration into your WCF service configs.  The article above also describes a solution to the problem, and that solution should not interfere with development or deployment on Apprenda.
