Application that requires .NET runtime version 2.0 does not run properly on Apprenda

ISSUE: A developer reported an issue whereby a legacy application did not work correctly on the Apprenda Platform. The application was developed on .NET Framework 3.5 and included a UI component that required a .NET runtime version of 2.0.

CAUSE: The Apprenda Platform requires that IIS application pools be deployed using .NET runtime version 4.0.

RESOLUTION: Any application that uses an earlier version .NET runtime version must be migrated to 4.0 in order to run properly on the Apprenda Platform.
