Apprenda allows developers to provide external configuration files as part of their application but developers need to be mindful of the size limit in KB that the merged config file can have.
At deploy time, Apprenda merges all the different config files into a single file; if it exceeds the maximum (250KB by default) size, a developer will receive the following message:
Cannot read configuration file because it exceeds the maximum file size
