Resource Policies: Allocated vs. Used

Follow

Resource allocation is the carved out "slice" of resources that your application components can use. For example if your resource policy is for 1GB of RAM, your application component will be allowed to grow its memory usage up to that point.

Resource usage on the other hand is a percentage value relative to the allocated amount that you have. For example, if you have a 1GB memory and are currently using 500MB, your resource usage will show as 50%.
